What is Olympic Day?

A Global Celebration of Sport

Olympic Day commemorates the founding of the modern Olympic Movement on 23 June 1894. It is an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to become active and experience the values of sport.

More than a celebration, it encourages fitness, well-being, fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.
